Eugene Bizzarro (Eugenio) became interested in starting his own business at a very young age. After his broad travels throughout Italy over the years and acquiring his family's original recipes, he decided to preserve these recipes by opening a family business dedicated to the standards that his ancestors expected. Eugene found a way to preserve the recipes that he had grown up with and at the same time share them, the way they were meant to be, with others.
After acquiring all of his family's recipes and the artisan Italian skills of gelato making, Eugene opened his first Gelataria/ Espresso Bar in Saratoga Springs, New York. Eugene opened Eugenio's Cafe Gelato in June, 2003 wich later move to the opposite side of Broadway to become Saratoga Gelato. Eugene wanted to share his family recipes as well as his artisan style gelato with Saratoga Springs residents and visitors.
Today, Saratoga Gelato is recognized as one of the best authentic Italian Gelataria/ Espresso Bars in the area. Located only minutes away from Saratoga race track in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs. Saratoga Gelato has since expanded it's menu beyond gelato, espresso, and pastries.
